Train

Easily accessed by train with 2 major train stations, Glasgow Central and Glasgow Queen Street that can be reached from any UK transport hub, the average journey from London is just 4.5 hours.

Glasgow has a very efficient public transport system, including Scotland’s only subway network. The Crowne Plaza is just two stops from Glasgow Central (3 min journey)

Flying

There are 2 international airports, Glasgow International and Prestwick International with direct flights from over 170 destinations.

Glasgow Airport is just 15 minutes’ drive from the city centre.

Prestwick International Airport is a 45-minute train journey from the city centre

Walking & Cycling

Glasgow is also a very walkable city and most of the hotels, venues, restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions are within walking distance of each other.

IET staff will be able to provide walking routes so you can get the most out of your stay!

Glasgow’s cycle hire scheme is a cost effective, sustainable and healthy way for delegates to get around the city. Regular and e-bikes are available to hire from 100 locations around the city.
