Author information – submitting a full paper or session proposal

Those wishing to present at RPG Global 2027 are required to submit a full paper for consideration by the Conference’s Technical Programme Committee.

Papers should focus on real business case studies/scenarios, innovative tools and techniques and report on work completed or nearing final stages, or efforts that have concluded with an important outcome of interest.

Proposed sessions will be incorporated into the main conference programme and offer insight into new and innovative technologies and projects aligned to and/or impacting the themes of RPG Global.
Successful authors will have their paper(s) submitted for indexing on IET Inspec, IEEE Xplore and Ei Compendex, increasing citations and influence that extends beyond the conference. We aim for a 16-week turnaround time from conference end date to publication, providing all Authors submit the requested documentation by the deadlines provided.

Submitting a Conference Session Proposal

SUBMIT CONFERENCE SESSION PROPOSAL

We invite you to share initiatives you’ve delivered, the challenges you faced and how you addressed them, how you’ve reached new audiences, or other examples of good practice relevant to engineers and researchers in power system protection.

Our audience values practical, experience-led sessions and real-world case studies, combined with inspiration and thought leadership. We welcome a range of formats, including:

  • Presentations on published papers
  • Case studies
  • Panel discussions
  • Roundtables
  • Workshops

Alternative formats are also welcome.

Materials presented in the Conference Sessions will not be included in the conference proceedings.  Each session will be between 15 and 45 minutes long, subject to the conference programme schedule and proposed content.

All Conference Session proposals must be submitted here. When you submit, please make sure you let us know the session outline and information about the proposed speaker(s).

What happens next…
  • Following the review of full papers, successful authors will be invited to attend and present their work at RPG Global 2027 by PowerPoint Presentation or Poster Presentation.
  • Successful authors must register to attend and present their work at the conference by Thursday 15 April 2027 at the latest.  Failure to do so will result in the withdrawal of your paper.
  • All successful authors and conference session contributors must pay the registration fee to attend the conference. An author registration covers a maximum of one paper, poster, tutorial, or conference session contribution. If an author has more than one paper presented then a co-author needs to register, or the author pays for an additional registration.
  • Each accepted paper or poster should have at least one registered author. The author must be present at the conference to present the submission or the paper will not be published.
  • The IET cannot meet any travelling or subsistence expenses for authors, either prior to or during the conference
  • To remind you there is no changing your paper after submission. Due to the high volume of submissions, we are unable to guarantee feedback or comments to authors whose papers are not accepted.

Thank you for your submission and good luck!
